Bastide du RoyEntertainment, carried through the olive trees.
Antibes, at the edge of Biot
A sixteenth-century bastide between Antibes and Biot, given by Jeanne Lanvin to her daughter in 1927 and set among 365 olive trees and seven gardens. Music here moves with the guests, from garden to garden.
Seven gardens
The music moves from garden to garden.
The bastide's gardens were laid out by J.C.N. Forestier, and an event here travels through them. We curate the entertainment for each garden in turn, from the ceremony in Le Jardin de Musique to the party by the pool. The bastide's own AV team provides the sound and light.
01 · Ceremony · Round, framed by olive trees
A garden made for music.
Le Jardin de Musique is round and enclosed by olive trees, and it was made for concerts as much as ceremonies. We choose musicians who suit its scale and acoustics, and time each piece to the walk to Neptune.
- Programme
- String quartet · Harp · Solo voice with strings
- With the venue
- Cues and amplification agreed with the bastide's in-house AV team
- Where
- Le Jardin de Musique, a round garden framed by olive trees either side of the Neptune statue.
02 · Cocktails · Shaded all day by the olive trees
Music in the shade of the olives.
The French garden is the bastide's largest, and shaded through the afternoon. We favour acoustic musicians who can move between its paths, so the music follows the guests rather than gathering them.
- Programme
- Jazz trio · Strolling musicians · Acoustic duo
- With the venue
- Set-up positions planned with the bastide's in-house AV team
- Where
- Le Jardin à la Française, shaded all day by olive trees.

03 · Dinner · At the foot of the bastide
The table set beneath the bastide.
The Cour d'Honneur looks out to Biot and the Alps as the light goes. We pace the music to the courses, from a pianist or a singer at the start to a short performance before dessert.
- Programme
- Pianist or singer between courses · A performance before dessert · Live first dance
- With the venue
- Sound for speeches and performers through the bastide's in-house AV team
- Where
- La Cour d'Honneur, at the foot of the bastide, looking towards Biot and the Alps.

04 · After-party · A stage over the water
Then the party moves to the pool.
The pool garden has a platform over the water for performers. We pair a DJ with live musicians there, and agree their technical needs and the dance-floor sound and lighting with the bastide's AV team.
- Programme
- DJ with live saxophone or percussion · Show band · A Club Coda after-party
- With the venue
- Dance-floor sound and lighting with the bastide's in-house AV team
- Where
- L'Espace Piscine, 850 m², with a platform over the pool for performances.
Working with the bastide
The bastide has its own in-house AV. We curate the entertainment.
Sound, lighting and AV at Bastide du Roy are provided by the bastide's in-house team, and we work with them rather than in their place. Our part is the entertainment: choosing and briefing the musicians, DJs and performers, shaping the programme from garden to garden, and agreeing every technical need with the bastide's AV team.

From us
Garden by garden
Each of the bastide's gardens has its own size and character. We choose different performers for each, so the music changes as the guests move.
With the bastide's AV team
The bastide's in-house team provides the sound and light. We send every performer's technical needs ahead and agree them with that team, so nothing is left to the day.
Under the olives
Much of the day is outdoors among the trees. We choose musicians who carry in the open air without filling it.
