Château RigaudWedding entertainment and production, in four atmospheres.

Mouliets-et-Villemartin, near Saint-Émilion

An exclusive-use château in the Bordeaux vineyards, and one of the venues beyond the Riviera we travel to regularly. We approach every wedding at Rigaud in the same way: as one piece of music, paced for the day.

The soundtrack of Rigaud

One setting, four atmospheres.

A wedding at Rigaud moves from the vines to the terrace to the barn, and from daylight to candlelight. We compose the music to move with it, acoustic at the start and building through the evening to the party. This is how we'd approach it; every programme is shaped around the couple.

01 · Late afternoon

Ceremony

Adagio

A harpist seated beside her harp against a dark background

Acoustic, unhurried, in proportion to the place.

Where
On the vineyard lawn, in the meadow above the Dordogne valley, or indoors.
We’d suggest
String quartet · Harp · Solo violin or cello · Voice and guitar

Outdoors at Rigaud, the setting does much of the work. We keep the ceremony acoustic or lightly reinforced, so the vows carry without the music competing with the view, and we time the processional to the walk, not to the song.

02 · Golden hour

Cocktails

Andante

An atmosphere guests feel before they notice it.

Where
On the terraces, with the vineyards beyond.
We’d suggest
Jazz trio · Saxophone · Acoustic duo · Strolling musicians

As guests move out onto the terraces, the music should lift the mood without asking for attention. We favour musicians who read the room: a jazz trio, a saxophonist or an acoustic duo who change pace as the light softens.

03 · Dusk

Dinner

Moderato

A band that moves between the tables and brings the room together.

Where
In the candlelit barn, or at long tables on the terrace.
We’d suggest
Roaming band · Singer between courses · Live first dance

Dinner is where the evening finds its rhythm. A roaming band plays from table to table between courses, softly at first and building as the speeches pass. We time every set with your planner and the château's team, and light the room to keep the candlelight.

04 · Night

After-party

Allegro

Then the night becomes a party.

Where
In the barn, on the terrace or in a marquee.
We’d suggest
DJ with live saxophone · Percussion and vocals · Show band · Club sound and lighting

A DJ with live musicians over the set (saxophone, percussion or a vocalist) carries the party late. Sound and lighting are designed for the space, so it feels like your own club without losing the character of the château.

From us

  • Alongside the château's team

Rigaud has its own planners and stylists. We work alongside them and your planner, so timings, power and set-up are agreed well before the day.

  • One design, several spaces

The day moves between lawn, terrace and barn. We plan sound and lighting as one design, so each change of space happens without a gap in the music.

  • Levels for the setting

Outdoors, we set levels for the setting and the neighbours, and check the venue's current guidelines for your date.
